Rhythm and Cheer was founded to amplify the voices and achievements of African American cheerleading programs. We have witnessed firsthand the lack of funding and resources for cheerleading in public schools within underserved communities. This often results in teams lacking uniforms or having mismatched ones, and some barely fit. Despite these challenges, many inner-city cheerleading programs possess exceptional talent and the potential to excel in competitions. However, their lack of financial support hinders their ability to participate in competitions and expand their activities beyond traditional game days.

Cheerleading is one of the most demanding sports, requiring year-round dedication, yet it often receives the least support from schools. Rhythm and Cheer was created to address this disparity by providing resources to as many programs as possible. We organize low-cost cheerleading events throughout the year and award grand prize program grants. We also partner with select cheerleading programs to host events and share 50% of the proceeds with them.
